COACHING STAFF

Head Coach
> Read Brad’sBio

A veteran of 1,086 National Hockey League regular season games and 97 games in the Stanley Cup playoffs, defenseman Brad Marsh served as the team captain or an alternate captain in five NHL organizations during his 15-season playing career. Today, he serves as the Philadelphia Flyers’ director of community development and the president of the Flyers Alumni Association in addition to coaching the Flyers Warriors.

In his capacity as Flyers Warriors Head Coach, “Marshy” has steered us to championships at the 2019 and 2021 USA Hockey Warrior Classic tournaments. He has also worked with the Flyers Learn to Play youth hockey program, provided support and promoted awareness for the Flyers PowerPlay power wheelchair program and the Flyers Special Hockey program.

Assistant Coach

Rob Baer is the director of youth hockey and amateur programs for the Philadelphia Flyers. In addition to serving as a full-time assistant coach for the Flyers Warriors, he oversees all Flyers-affiliated youth and amateur programs including the immensely popular Learn to Play program. For the Flyers Warriors, Rob handles much of the X-and-O instruction and explanation of hockey system basics especially for our less experienced players.

BOB KELLY

Assistant Coach

A veteran of 837 NHL regular season games and 137 Stanley Cup playoff games, Bob “the Hound” Kelly was a member of the Stanley Cup winning 1973-74 and 1974-75 teams. The rugged forward scored the Cup-winning goal in the third period of Game 6 of the 1975 Final.

A longtime “Ambassador of Hockey” for the Philadelphia Flyers and current director of community development in conjunction with Marsh, Hound travels throughout the Delaware Valley community year-round to promote the sport of ice hockey and the Philadelphia Flyers brand.

A part-time assistant coach with the Flyers Warriors, Kelly is on the Flyers Alumni Association’s board of directors and is the primary organizer of the annual Flyers Alumni Fantasy Camp assisted by Rob Baer. Flyers Warriors players often participate in Fantasy Camp.

Alyssa gagliardi

Assistant Coach

Alyssa played NCAA Division I college hockey at Cornell University where she was a two-year captain and 2014 ECAC Co-Defensive Defensemen of the Year and Second Team All-American. She competed with the USA Women’s National Team from 2013-2016, including at two Four Nations Cups (2014, 2015), while playing professionally for the Boston Blades (CWHL), Boston Pride (NWHL) and Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) from 2014 – 2020.

After completing her playing career, Alyssa worked for the Carolina Hurricanes organization in Youth Hockey Development, as well as coaching in the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes Tier I Girls Program, with a focus on Skill & Player Development.

Alyssa is currently an Assistant Coach with the Neumann University Men’s Ice Hockey program (NCAA D3), as well as a Skill & Player Development Coach for the Maine Mariners (ECHL).
She is also a volunteer coach with the Philadelphia Flyers Warriors Veterans team. Alyssa is a board member for the PWHPA and has been a member of the NHLCA Female Coaches Development Program since 2020

Goaltending Instructor

A former collegiate hockey goaltender at Middlebury College, Madeline Marsh has served the Flyers Warriors as a part-time goaltending instructor and fitness program consultant. She is the daughter of head coach Brad Marsh.

Trainer

Longtime Philadelphia Flyers trainer/ equipment manager Jim “Turk” Evers is a fixture with the Flyers Warriors as our primary trainer. He assists us at all of practices.

Equipment Manager

Formerly the head coach at North Penn High School and Lafayette college. In 1989 Culp became the long time trainer and equipment manager of the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni. He is well known for his work on the bench and behind the scenes, as well as his interactions with the players and coaches. He has since then come on board with the Philadelphia Flyers Warriors and is now just as valuable to the Warriors as he is the Alumni.
