FLYER WARRIORS – WARRIOR WIVES

“The purpose of the Flyers Warriors Wives is to bring the significant others of our players together, regardless of relationship title or gender.”

The Wives group gives significant others a way of sharing and supporting our players through a sport we all love. We were brought together through hockey, and because of it, have each found a support system many of us didn’t even realize we needed.
There is comfort in building friendships with people who understand post military life, the ups and the downs. I can honestly say the friends I have made since being part of the Flyers Warriors Wives group have become family and are the most supportive individuals I have ever been lucky enough to have in our lives.

The group has been a great way to connect with other veteran spouses/significant others who have become part of our family.  It’s a judge free group.  We are in it together and are there for each other.  The group gives us an outlet to be ourselves outside of supporting our Warrior through the sport of hockey.  It helps better connect the team as a whole.  I’ve enjoyed the many friendships I’ve made and look forward to making more.

It’s a safe and fun space to build friendships with other women who too love supporting their spouses, the sport of hockey, and who also understand military and post-military life.  Everyone has stuff going on and life can be chaotic but with the wives, we are all there for one thing – family.
